"INHERITORS OF A BURDEN" BENEFIT 7:00 - 10:00pm Pittsburgh Center for the Arts 6300 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA ( Map) ‘Inheritors
of a Burden’, directed by Carolina Loyola-Garcia, is a documentary that explores the tradition of flamenco
arts in the US: its origins, protagonists, its victims, and its identity
as a nomad and hybrid art. Focusing on the main US contemporary
flamenco artists, we witness their creative processes whi le we hear how they became inheritors of the burden and flamenco complaint.
Come
and enjoy a night of celebration, wine, and tapas and help the
production team continue with the production of this beautiful project.
Celebration includes: Food and beverages Cash bar Raffle and silent auction Live flamenco performance by Ulrika Frank and Marija Temo and sneak preview of the documentary.
Tickets are $25 and can be bought online. Tickets are $15 for students and artists. Tickets are $30 at the door. Additional donations will also be accepted.(See attached flyer) |

Flamenco Pittsburgh had a great time performing at the Uptown Street Festival. Thanks to Mir, Jim and Jon for their wonderful guitar playing, to Barb for singing, to Carolina for organizing it, and to all the dancers for putting on a fantastic show.
